    Specialized transportation methods involved in the lift planning process including road, rail, and water transport are introduced and analyzed. Engineering considerations and calculations for each method are discussed and evaluated. Course duration includes lectures, reading assignments, exercises and exams. This course is accredited by LEEA and approved by ASME for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in compliance with the IACET Standard.

    – Evaluate the physics principles that affect water transport.
    – Explain the different characteristics of water transport vessels.

    – Identify and calculate the forces, moments, center of gravity, and mass calculations necessary for evaluating the requirements of a water transport operation.
